Arise (arise.com) is a technology platform that links a network of independent, home-based "micro" call centers and their agents with customer-support programs for well-known brands. Instead of being hired as an employee, you provide services as an independent contractor through the Arise Platform — choosing the client programs and hours that fit you.

what's the difference?

The individual

Agent (CSP)

The person who actually takes the calls — a Customer Support Professional. Agents service client programs from home and get paid for the work they do. An agent works under an Independent Business (an IBO) on the platform.

The business

IBO (Independent Business Owner)

The registered call-center business on the Arise Platform. The IBO signs the agreements with Arise, manages the client relationships and payments, and can service programs itself and/or bring agents on board. VirtuCall Online is an IBO — #1541977.

These are 1099 independent-contractor roles

Whether you work as an agent under an IBO or run your own, you're an independent contractor, not an employee. That means you're responsible for your own taxes — no taxes are withheld from your pay, and you'll receive a 1099 rather than a W-2.

How to apply & enroll

Create your profile

Register on the Arise Platform and create your profile — it only takes a few minutes.

Sign the NDA

Sign a non-disclosure agreement so you can see the names and details of the available client programs.

Submit company info — attach our IBO

At the company information step, choose the option to register as an agent for a call center already on the Arise Platform, then enter VirtuCall Online's IBO details.

Use IBO ID 1541977  ·  VirtuCall Online, LLC. If a field asks for it during signup, this is where you connect to our business so you're enrolled under us.

Complete the background check

A background check is part of enrollment. Applicants are responsible for the background-check fee.

Pick a client & certify

Choose a client program that fits your schedule and complete its certification course. Training is now free — and it's paid training. A refundable deposit may be required to hold your spot, returned when you show up and complete the course.

Sign the SOW & start servicing

Sign the Statement of Work for your program (typically about three months at a time), then schedule your hours and start taking calls from home.

questions.

Is this full-time or part-time?
It can be either. While some agents do this full-time, most people find it works best as flexible part-time work. You choose your hours from the available intervals for your client program, so you can scale up or down around the rest of your life.
Am I an employee?
No. These are 1099 independent-contractor roles. No taxes are withheld from your pay and you'll receive a 1099, so you're responsible for your own taxes. We recommend speaking with a tax professional.
Do I have to start my own business or LLC?
Not when you enroll under our IBO. Working under VirtuCall Online (#1541977) means you don't have to register an LLC, get an EIN, or sign your own agreements with Arise — we handle the business side. You're always free to start your own IBO instead if you prefer.
What does it cost to get started?
Good news: training and certification are now free — and it's paid training. A refundable deposit may be required to hold your spot in training, returned once you show up and complete it. Plan for a background-check fee (paid by the applicant), plus a quiet workspace and the required equipment and internet connection. There's no cost to affiliate with our IBO during signup.
How do I attach VirtuCall Online as my IBO?
During registration, at the company-information step, choose to register as an agent for a call center already on the platform, and enter our IBO information — IBO ID 1541977, VirtuCall Online, LLC. If you get stuck, email us and we'll walk you through it.
What equipment do I need?
Generally a reliable computer, a headset, a hard-wired high-speed internet connection, and a quiet, distraction-free place to work. Exact requirements vary by client program and are listed in each program's details on the Arise Platform.
How and when do I get paid?
You're paid for the services you provide on your client program, based on that program's pay structure. Payment details and schedules are covered during enrollment — reach out and we're happy to explain how it works under our IBO.
